MarketClean: Facebook Marketplace Filter – Distance & Keywords

MarketClean is a filter for Facebook Marketplace: enforce a real distance limit, hide Facebook's ads, block junk keywords, hide listings you've already seen, force sort-by-newest that actually sticks, remove partner and shipped results, and clear sold items off your Saved page. Marketplace gets noisy fast — far-away listings ignore your distance setting, the sort resets to "Suggested" every time you navigate, the same items repeat day after day, and your Saved page fills with sold or removed posts you can no longer buy. MarketClean cleans all of that up so the feed stays local, relevant, and fast to browse. Your keyword and feed filters run locally in your browser. Hard distance limit — keep Marketplace local Marketplace uses a soft radius: set it to "within 10 miles" and you'll still see results from 50+ miles away. MarketClean enforces a real distance limit in your browser and hides anything outside your chosen range — even when Marketplace silently widens it. Works in miles or kilometers, with a fallback city for listings that show a place name instead of a distance. You can also hide partner and nationwide-shipping listings in one click, so what's left is genuinely local. Hide Facebook ads Sponsored ads sit right among your Marketplace results, and no keyword filter can catch them. Turn on Hide Facebook ads and they disappear from your feed, so only real listings stay. Switch it off anytime. Sort by newest — and make it stick Marketplace's own "Date listed: Newest first" resets to Suggested the moment you navigate away. Turn on Force newest sort and MarketClean re-applies it on every search and category page, so you stop re-sorting by hand. Keyword filter — block the junk, keep what matters - Blocked keywords: hide any listing containing words you don't want to see - Required keywords: only show listings that mention what you're actually after - Match any: browse several things at once — piano or guitar or amp - Exact phrases: filter on full phrases, not loose word matches Paste a whole list at once. Filters keep applying as more listings load while you scroll. Fresh feed — stop re-seeing the same listings - Hide listings you've already opened — or just dim them and keep the SEEN badge - Show only new: surface genuinely new posts instead of recycled inventory - Highlight new: keep everything visible but flag what's new since your last look Built for people who check Marketplace daily and want to skip past inventory they've already evaluated. Saved filter presets Save a full filter setup as a named preset and reload it in one click. Hunting furniture on Saturday and car parts on Sunday takes two clicks, not two minutes of retyping. Saved page cleanup — available-only view Sold, pending, and removed listings pile up on your Saved page until it's unusable. MarketClean adds a "Show available items only" filter so you only see saved items you can still actually buy. Doesn't break Marketplace MarketClean only hides listings — it never removes or alters Facebook's own page elements. When Facebook updates its layout, the extension keeps working instead of breaking. Privacy — buyer-side, minimal data No account, no seller tools, no ad tracking, no data selling. Your keywords and rules stay on your device. The only data that leaves your browser: listing and center place names sent to our geocoding service (OpenStreetMap-powered, cached, not tied to you) so the distance filter can work, plus anonymous, keyword-free usage stats tied to a random install ID.
