The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Zen Close
Zen Close pauses browser work with a quote screen.
The screen appears at a closing time you set, after about two hours of continuous use, and on sites you choose to cut off. On those sites the quote covers the screen and stops you from using the site. The page itself still loads.
Set a closing time to see the time remaining, and to get a calm notice 10 or 15 minutes before it is time to stop. Zen Close uses a quiet reminder and a quote, not a harsh alarm.
Key Features
- Set Your Closing Time
Specify a time from the popup to schedule a wrap-up reminder.
- Gentle Pre-notifications
Receive a soft toast notification 10 or 15 minutes before your closing time (can be turned off).
- Remaining Time Badge
The extension icon displays a small badge (for example, 15m) showing exactly how much time you have left.
- Closing Dialog with Inspiring Quotes
When the scheduled time arrives, a dialog appears alongside a thoughtful quote to gently guide you away from the screen.
- Sites to cut off
Opening a site you added covers the screen with the quote. The page itself still loads. Add a category and collapse each group. The list can be exported and imported as JSON. You can also cut sites off only while a close time is set.
- Long sessions
After about two hours of continuous use, the quote screen appears. A break of about ten minutes starts the count again.
- Snooze (Extend) Function
For the closing time and long sessions, "Snooze 5 min" extends the reminder.
- Bilingual Support (Japanese / English)
Switch the display language from More settings.
