The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About YoutubeMore - YouTube Transcript Search
YoutubeMore is a YouTube transcript search extension. It puts the video transcript in a floating panel so you can search text in a YouTube video, follow captions, and change playback speed while watching the video.
YouTube transcript
Open the transcript beside the player. YoutubeMore shows the full YouTube transcript, highlights the current line, and auto-scrolls as the video plays. Click any line or word to jump to that moment.
YouTube search in video / YouTube text search
Search inside the transcript to find a sentence, name, or topic. This is in-video text search: skip around the video by matching words in the captions instead of scrubbing the timeline.
YouTube captions and subtitles
Change the transcript language without digging through YouTube’s caption menu. Open the language list, star the languages you actually use, and keep up to five favorites next to the title. One click switches the whole transcript.
Auto-translated languages are just as easy to change. YouTube’s translate list is long, so YoutubeMore lets you save the translations you want and jump between them from the panel header. Search, auto-scroll, and word highlight follow the language you pick, so you can read the same video in another subtitle or auto-translation right away. The panel still opens in the video’s own language. Your favorites are there when you want to switch.
YouTube speed
Increase or decrease playback speed from the panel, or with keyboard shortcuts, including speeds above YouTube’s usual limit.
Use YoutubeMore when you want YouTube search inside a video, a readable transcript, quick caption and auto-translate language changes, or faster playback — all in one lightweight panel.
WHAT IT DOES AS SUMMARY
• Shows the video transcript in a resizable, draggable side panel
• Highlights the current line (and words) as the video plays
• Auto-scrolls to keep the active text in view (pauses while you scroll; resumes when your mouse leaves the panel)
• Search inside the transcript with match counting
• Click any line or word to seek the video to that time
• Adjust playback speed (1×–4×) from the panel or with + / − keys
• Works as you move from video to video — no refresh needed
• Transcript button sits in the YouTube™ player controls, with a native-style tooltip
WHO IT’S FOR
Students, researchers, language learners, and anyone who wants to find a moment, take in spoken content faster, or rewatch a section without scrubbing the timeline blindly.
HOW TO USE
1. Open a YouTube™ watch page
2. Click the YoutubeMore button in the player controls
3. Read, search, or click the transcript to jump around
4. Use + / − to change speed when the page isn’t focused on a text field
PRIVACY NOTES
YoutubeMore runs in your browser on YouTube™ pages. It requests transcript data for the video you’re watching so the panel can display captions. It does not require you to sign in to YoutubeMore.
