❓ FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
• Does it work with every video?
The extension requires an available YouTube transcript. Videos without captions, Shorts, and live streams are not supported.
• Does it transcribe audio itself?
No. It reads captions already available on YouTube, including automatically generated captions when available. Text accuracy depends on those captions.
• How are summaries and notes created?
Summaries and notes are generated by AI through the TubeText service using the video’s transcript. Relevant transcript text is sent to the service for processing. AI output may contain mistakes, so check important details against the original video.

Yes. Search for a word or phrase, then use timestamps to jump to the corresponding moment.
• Can I keep the results?
Yes. Copy the text or save results as PDF for later reference.
• What if the text does not load?
Open the video description, select “Show transcript” on YouTube, and try again.
