Ordinary subtitle text is not sent to our server. The extension stores settings, a daily counter, recent local download history, a license cache, and a random device ID in Chrome storage. The random device ID supports license checks and limited, anonymous outcome measurements such as whether a user reached a key action. These measurements do not include video URLs, video IDs, transcript text, browsing history, cookies, or account credentials. If you use Pro translation, the subtitle lines you select and the target language are sent to our translation endpoint and its provider so the requested translation can be returned. This is an explicit Pro action. The translation request does not need your YouTube cookies, password, or payment card.
