YouTube Shorts Date Viewer

Ever wondered exactly when a YouTube Short or video was published? YouTube often shows vague relative times like "3 months ago" — this extension shows the precise date and time instead, right where you browse. HOW IT WORKS The extension reads the publish date directly from YouTube's own page data. No external API, no account sign-in, and no data ever leaves your browser. FEATURES • Shows the exact publish date and time on both Shorts (/shorts/) and regular video (/watch) pages • NEW: Shows the date and time right on the thumbnails as you browse — the home feed, search results, channel pages, and the related-videos sidebar • NEW: Works on Shorts thumbnails too, not just regular videos • Dates load on demand as thumbnails scroll into view, so only what you actually see is fetched • Updates automatically as you swipe through the Shorts feed • Results are cached for 10 minutes and requests are rate-limited to keep things light • Supports 8 languages — label adapts to your Chrome browser language (English, 日本語, 简体中文, 한국어, Español, Français, Deutsch, Português) PERMISSIONS • youtube.com — required to read the video pages and display the badges No account required. No data collected. Fully open source.
