About YouTube Localizer by OpenPost
Translate your video's title, description and thumbnail text directly in YouTube Studio.
Choose your languages in Settings, select videos in Studio's Content page, and click Localize. The extension checks for missing translations, generates them with your chosen AI providers and saves them to Studio. Existing translations are preserved. Saved results are reused when you retry unfinished work.
• Localize titles, descriptions and thumbnail text across multiple languages.
• Batch text translation for each video to reduce repeated requests.
• Prepare a thumbnail background once and render translated text locally for each language.
• See cached localization counts beside videos in Studio.
• Generate original thumbnails using optional face, brand and style references. Download the result or use it as a localization source.
• Keep history and generated assets in your browser.
Bring your own text-provider and Fal API keys. Text providers include OpenAI, OpenRouter, Anthropic and compatible custom endpoints. Fal handles image generation and editing. The extension is free; AI providers charge separately for your requests. An OpenPost account is not required.
The extension works with your signed-in YouTube Studio session and currently supports the English Studio interface. It localizes titles, descriptions and thumbnails. It does not dub audio, translate subtitles or change video visibility and scheduling. Original thumbnail generation produces a downloadable image; it does not automatically replace the video's main thumbnail.
Your selected video text and images are sent directly to the providers you configure when you request generation. Provider keys, job history and saved references stay in extension storage, with keys sent only for authentication to their configured provider. OpenPost receives no extension data. There is no extension telemetry or operator backend.
YouTube Studio layouts can change. The extension reports incomplete work when it cannot confirm that a translation was saved. Cached counts reflect the last observed Studio state.
