YouTube Focus Pro

YouTube Focus Pro helps you take back control of your attention. Whether you're studying, working, or just trying to avoid the rabbit hole, this extension removes everything on YouTube designed to keep you endlessly scrolling — and replaces it with a clean, distraction-free experience. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🆓 FEATURES ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🏠 Hide Home Feed Remove the endless recommendation grid on the YouTube homepage. Go to YouTube to watch something specific, not to get sucked in. 📋 Hide Recommended Sidebar Watch a video without being tempted by "Up Next" recommendations on the right side. Stay focused on what you came to watch. 📱 Hide Shorts Shorts are the most addictive part of YouTube. Hide the Shorts shelf from the homepage, sidebar, and navigation menu entirely. 💬 Hide Comments Comments are a black hole of distraction and arguments. Toggle them off with one click and get back to the content. ⏱️ Focus Timer Built-in Pomodoro-style study timer with 25, 45, and 60-minute presets. Your timer keeps running even when you close the popup — open it back up and it picks up exactly where it left off. Get a notification when your session is complete. ⏰ Scheduled Blocking Set specific hours when YouTube should be completely blocked — for example during work hours (09:00–17:00) or study time. During blocked hours, YouTube is replaced with a clean focus screen. Perfect for building healthy screen time habits. ✅ Channel Whitelist Hiding the sidebar and recommendations doesn't mean you can't watch anything useful. Add channels to your whitelist (by name or @handle) and their sidebar and comments will always remain visible. Great for educational channels you actually want to engage with. 📊 Watch Time Analytics See exactly how much time you spend on YouTube — today, this week, and this month — with a simple bar chart dashboard. Awareness is the first step to change. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🌙 LIGHT & DARK MODE ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ The popup automatically matches your system theme, or you can toggle it manually with one click. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🌍 AVAILABLE IN 9 LANGUAGES ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ English, Spanish, French, German, Portuguese, Turkish, Hindi, Russian, Chinese (Simplified) ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 🔒 PRIVACY FIRST ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ YouTube Focus Pro does not track you, sell your data, or send anything to external servers. All your settings are stored locally on your device. No account required. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 💡 HOW IT WORKS ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Click the extension icon in your Chrome toolbar to open the popup. Toggle each feature on or off instantly. Changes apply to YouTube immediately — no page refresh needed. The extension uses smart DOM observation to handle YouTube's single-page navigation, so your settings stay active as you move between videos and pages. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ Q: Does this affect video playback? A: No. Only distracting page elements are hidden. The video player, controls, and audio are never touched. Q: Will it slow down YouTube? A: No noticeable impact. The extension only hides elements, it doesn't block network requests. Q: Does it work on YouTube shorts videos? A: It hides the Shorts sections and shelf — individual short videos you navigate to directly still play normally. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ If you find YouTube Focus Pro useful, please leave a review — it helps others discover it and keeps the project going.
