YouTube Comment Translate — private, on-device translation

Read every YouTube comment in your own language — one click, no account, nothing sent anywhere. YouTube used to translate comments for you. That button is gone for many people, and the search results are full of "youtube comment translate missing". This extension brings it back, and does it in a way the old one never could: entirely on your device. HOW IT WORKS • A Translate button under every comment, exactly where the old one was • The translation appears next to the original, never instead of it — one click hides it again • Turn on automatic mode and new comments are translated as you scroll • Pick any of 38 languages; change it any time in the panel above the comments • The button under each comment is labelled in the language you translate INTO, so it reads naturally WHY ON-DEVICE MATTERS HERE Every other extension in this category sends comment text to a translation server — their own listings say so. Ours uses the translator built into Chrome, so the text of other people's conversations stays in your browser. No account, no sign-in, no analytics, nothing stored. The first time you use a language pair, Chrome downloads that language pack once; after that it works offline. WHAT YOU NEED Chrome 138 or newer on a computer. Because nothing is sent to a server, there is no online fallback — on older versions the extension says so plainly instead of pretending to work. WHAT IT DOES NOT DO It translates comments on the video you are watching. It does not translate the video, the captions or the description, and it does not touch your own comments.
