X Twitter Video and Picture Batch Downloader

Want to save images and videos from X or Twitter posts, but don't want to copy the links or open third-party download websites? This extension makes the download process much simpler. After installing the extension, a download button will appear below posts containing media. When you see content you want to save, simply click the button, and the extension will save the images and videos from that post to your browser's default download directory. If a post contains multiple images, the extension will download all images at once and save the files in their original size whenever possible. If the post contains videos, the extension will automatically select the highest bitrate MP4 file available from the X library. Animated GIFs will be saved in the MP4 animation format provided by the platform. The entire process does not require manual selection of resolution or waiting for the video to be reconverted. Once the download is complete, the button will turn green and display a completion marker. The filename includes the post number and media sequence number, so multiple files from the same post will not be mixed up. This extension supports x.com and twitter.com. It uses publicly available post media data from X to obtain file addresses and does not rely on login cookies. You do not need to provide your X account or password to the extension, nor do you need to register a new account, purchase a subscription, or complete any additional payments. The extension only processes the current post after you click the download button. It will not automatically fetch other posts or download content you didn't select in the background. Images and videos will be saved directly to your computer from X's official media servers, without being uploaded to the developer's servers first. The extension does not collect your account information, login credentials, browsing history, or download history. It only requests the permissions necessary to complete media identification and file saving. This project's code has been open-sourced on GitHub with over 30,000 stars and received 5,000 likes on Product Hunt. It has also passed a Cure53 security assessment.
