X (formerly Twitter) Focus Mode – Clean Home Feed

Take back control of your X home feed. X increasingly promotes engagement-driven content through the “For You” tab and trending sections. While this may increase time spent on the platform, it can also lead to distraction, information overload, and exposure to content you never intended to follow. X Focus Mode is a lightweight browser tool designed to help you stay focused on what you actually care about. ⸻ What this extension does • Automatically switches your home feed to Following • Hides the “For You” tab to reduce algorithmic distractions • Optionally hides Trends / Explore sections • Keeps your timeline centered on accounts you deliberately chose to follow No content is blocked, filtered, or censored — the extension only adjusts the interface to prioritize intentional browsing. ⸻ Why use X Focus Mode? Modern social feeds are optimized for engagement, not well-being. Many users experience: • Unwanted political or polarizing content • Rage-bait and emotionally charged posts • Doom-scrolling and reduced focus This extension supports healthier browsing habits by removing unnecessary triggers and helping you engage with X on your own terms. ⸻ Designed with mental well-being in mind X Focus Mode is not about limiting access or enforcing rules. It simply removes friction between you and the content you already chose to see. • Less noise • Less distraction • More intentional use ⸻ Privacy & transparency • No data collection • No analytics • No tracking • No external requests All functionality runs locally in your browser. The extension only modifies the visual layout of X and does not access your account data. ⸻ Simple, lightweight, and focused • Minimal permissions • No configuration required • Works automatically after installation • Language-agnostic (works across different X languages) ⸻ Who is this for? • Users who prefer the Following feed • People sensitive to engagement-driven or polarizing content • Anyone looking to reduce distractions while browsing X • Users who want a calmer, more intentional social media experience ⸻ X Focus Mode helps you focus on what matters — and ignore what doesn’t.
