🎙️ Got a 3-minute voice message in the middle of a meeting? With Wpp Audio Transcriber you read instead of listening: the text shows up right below each WhatsApp Web voice message. No headphones, no loud speaker and no waiting for the right moment to listen. ✨ WHAT IT DOES • Adds a "Transcribe" button below each voice message in the open chat. • Shows the text inside the message bubble, with copy and close buttons. • "Transcribe automatically": turn it on from the extension icon and incoming voice messages become text without a single click. • Keeps each transcript, so the text is still there when you come back to the chat. • Also transcribes videos and video notes up to 10 minutes long (sound only). • Alt+Shift+T shortcut: transcribes the last voice message or video in the open chat. • Copies all of a chat's transcriptions at once, with date and time. • "Summarize": turns a long transcript into one sentence (with the "In the cloud" engine). • Choose the button color and whether automatic mode includes videos and your own voice messages. ⚙️ THREE WAYS TO TRANSCRIBE (you choose in Options) • On your computer: free, private and fast. A program (whisper.cpp) runs on your Mac or Windows PC, installer included. The audio never leaves your computer. • In the browser: free and private, nothing to install. The speech model is downloaded once and runs inside the browser. This is the slowest way. • In the cloud: the fastest and most accurate. Uses your own OpenAI or Groq key, which bills usage to your account. The audio goes to the service you chose. 🎯 HOW TO USE 1️⃣ After installing, the welcome page opens on its own: pick one of the three ways to transcribe. 2️⃣ Open WhatsApp Web and go to a chat with voice messages. 3️⃣ Click "Transcribe" below the audio, or turn on "Transcribe automatically" from the extension icon. 🌎 LANGUAGES Interface in Portuguese, English and Spanish, following the browser language (you can change it in Options). Transcribes voice messages in many languages. 🔒 PRIVACY No account, no ads and no tracking. The publisher receives none of your data. Transcripts are stored only in your browser. The audio only leaves your computer if you choose "In the cloud", with your own key. ⚠️ LIMITS • Works on WhatsApp Web (web.whatsapp.com), in Chrome, Brave and Edge. • To get the audio, the extension presses play without playing any sound. WhatsApp may mark the message as heard. • "Transcribe automatically" only picks up voice messages shown in the open chat. • To get a video, the extension may open WhatsApp's media viewer for a moment. • The "In the browser" option needs a computer with free memory.
