Workmostat

# Chrome Web Store: Detailed Description Match the job description before you apply. Workmostat compares any job posting against your resume and shows you exactly which skills match, which are missing, and why, in seconds, without leaving the page. Everything runs locally in your browser. Your resume is never uploaded anywhere. HOW IT WORKS Add your resume once (paste it or drop in a PDF). Then browse job postings as on the job websites or boards of your choice. Workmostat reads the posting and gives you an instant score, so you can stop reading every listing top to bottom just to figure out if it's worth your time. WHAT MAKES THE SCORE ACTUALLY USEFUL Most "keyword matcher" tools just count overlapping words. Workmostat weighs required skills more heavily than nice-to-haves, the way a recruiter actually reads a posting, and it also catches thematic overlap even when the exact wording differs (like "built scalable infrastructure" matching "distributed systems experience"). Every score comes with a plain-language breakdown of exactly how it was calculated: required vs. preferred skills matched, thematic overlap, and any experience, degree, or language requirements factored in. Score tiers: ❄️ Cold Match, below 65% 🔥 Hot Match, 65-79% 🌋 Very Hot Match, 80%+ KEY FEATURES 🎯 Smart, transparent matching. Required skills count more than nice-to-haves, and every score shows its own math, not just a number. 📄 PDF resume import. Paste your resume or drop in a PDF; the text is extracted automatically. 🗂️ Multiple resume profiles. Keep separate profiles for different roles (backend, full-stack, whatever you're applying for) and switch instantly. 🔥 Hot-match history. Postings that score 65%+ are saved automatically as you browse, so a strong lead never slips by. 📊 Missing-skill tracking. See which skills keep showing up as gaps across the postings you've checked, so you know what's actually worth learning next. 🤖 AI hand-off, on your terms. Once you've got a match, one click copies a prompt (the job description plus your resume) to your clipboard and opens ChatGPT, Claude, or Gemini for you. Nothing is sent automatically. It's entirely up to you whether to paste it and ask for a tailored cover letter or resume tweak. 💾 Your data, your control. Export a full backup as a JSON file at any time, or permanently delete everything with one click. PRIVACY, FOR REAL There is no Workmostat server. Your resume, your saved matches, and your settings are stored only in your browser's local storage. None of it is transmitted, synced to an account, or seen by us. There's exactly one action in the entire extension that involves data leaving your browser: the optional "Copy Prompt" button described above, and it only ever runs when you click it. No accounts. No sign-up. No tracking. No ads. Completely free. Learn more or read the privacy policy: https://workmostat.com/privacy.
