WNY True-Cost Tracker

The single purpose of the WNY True-Cost Tracker is to provide Erie County shoppers with transparent, comparative local grocery pricing data directly within their browser. The WNY True-Cost tracker cuts through deceptive BOGO sales and hidden markups to help you save money on everyday essentials. Our tool does the heavy lifting by instantly comparing local supermarket prices right on your screen, allowing you to shop smarter without spending hours clipping coupons. See the factual, verified Western New York baseline price injected directly into your screen as you shop online. Core Features: • Real-Time Price Injection: Automatically calculates and displays markup percentages next to essential items (milk, eggs, bread, etc.) on Tops, Wegmans, Walmart, Aldi, and Instacart. • Verified Regional Baselines: Compares store prices against the factual, verified fair-market average in Erie County. • Scanner Error Logger: Includes a 1-click reporting tool to log instances where local supermarkets charge more at the register than the posted shelf price, helping hold stores accountable to NYS consumer protection laws.
