WhatsApp Label to Background

See your WhatsApp labels at a glance WhatsApp Label to Background brings your chat labels to life on WhatsApp Web. Any chat that has a label (the small colored tag next to the name) now gets a subtle, light background in that same color on the whole chat row. No more squinting at tiny icons—labeled conversations stand out clearly in your list. How it works The extension only runs on web.whatsapp.com. It finds chat rows that have a label, reads the label color (e.g. blue, red, yellow), and applies a soft version of that color as the row background. The effect is light and easy on the eyes, so your list stays readable while labeled chats are easy to spot. Features Automatic — Works as soon as you open WhatsApp Web. No setup or options. Light backgrounds — Uses a low-opacity version of the label color so the list stays clean and readable. Always in sync — New chats and labels are detected automatically as you scroll or refresh. No account access — The extension does not read your messages, contacts, or data. It only changes how chat rows look on the page. Free — No payments, no sign-up, no tracking. Who it’s for Anyone who uses labels to organize chats (clients, projects, priorities). People who want to quickly see which conversations are labeled without focusing on the small label icon. Heavy WhatsApp Web users who prefer a clearer, more visual chat list. Technical note The extension adds a light background only to the chat card area. It does not modify WhatsApp’s behavior, send data elsewhere, or require any permissions beyond running on web.whatsapp.com. Download once, and your labeled chats will always stand out in the list.
