The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Website Restore Tool, by RecoverYourSite.com
If a website you owned or managed has gone offline, expired, been hacked, or been
deleted, Website Restore Tool gets it back. It's the Wayback Machine Downloader
built directly into your browser, so you don't have to dig through Wayback
Machine URLs by hand or run anything on a server just to see if your old website
is recoverable.
What it does: point it at any archived snapshot of an old website, and it pulls
the pages, rewrites the internal links so they work together, and downloads
website files as a ready-to-open ZIP, right in your browser. A free website
recovery covers your first 10 pages, so you can check whether the recover old
website process actually gets you something usable before deciding on anything
bigger.
Why install it: because checking if your old site is still recoverable
shouldn't require technical skill, a developer, or a single rupee upfront. Most
people who've lost a website assume it's gone for good. It almost never is, the
Internet Archive has usually kept a copy, this extension is the fastest way to
find out and get it back, for free, in under a minute.
If you need a full recover deleted website job, from a small brochure site to a
store with several thousand pages, we run that crawl on our own servers and
email you a download link the moment it's ready, so you don't have to keep your
browser open. Either way you end up with a real website backup you can host
again, hand to a developer, or just keep for your own records.
Built by the team behind RecoverYourSite.com, a website restoration and archived
website recovery service used for old website restoration, site migrations, and
disaster recovery when the original files and backups are gone.
What it does, in short:
- Detects when the page you're currently on looks dead, parked, or taken down,
and offers to check its Wayback Machine history
- Right-click any link to restore it from the Internet Archive
- Free in-browser restore of up to 10 pages, downloaded as a ZIP with working
internal links, no account, no card
- Paid restore of larger sites (500 or 5,000 pages) processed on our servers,
with your download link emailed to you
- Full history of everything you've restored, right in the side panel
Why people install this over just using the Wayback Machine directly: the
Wayback Machine shows you one page at a time, it doesn't rebuild a working site
you can actually host or hand off. This extension does that part, for free, for
the first 10 pages, so you know exactly what you're getting before you decide
whether the rest of the site is worth restoring too.
