The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About WebFolder
# Short description
WebFolder replaces Chrome's New Tab with a clean workspace where you can organize, find, and access your favorite websites in seconds.
Save pages into folders, organize them with tags, mark favorites, import bookmarks and collections, and quickly save tabs directly from Chrome.
# Description
WebFolder transforms your Chrome New Tab into a clean and organized workspace for managing the websites you use every day.
Instead of relying on standard bookmarks, you can organize links into folders, classify them with tags (up to 5 per link), and mark your favorites for quick access.
You can save websites manually, save the current tab from the WebFolder toolbar button, or save multiple open tabs and Chrome Tab Groups at once.
Everything is designed to help you organize your web resources without unnecessary complexity.
## Features
- Replace Chrome's New Tab with WebFolder.
- Save websites manually using their URL.
- Save the current tab directly from the WebFolder toolbar button.
- Save multiple selected tabs or entire Chrome Tab Groups at once into a folder.
- Create folders directly from the save popup with visible status feedback.

- Streamlined header UI with grouped actions in a dropdown menu (⋯).
- Available in English and Spanish.
## Permissions
WebFolder requests minimal permissions strictly necessary to function:
- **Storage:** To save your folders, links, tags, and preferences locally on your device.
- **Tabs / activeTab:** To save open tabs, read Tab Groups, and open your saved links in new tabs.
## Privacy & Security
WebFolder is designed to work entirely on your device.
Your folders, links, tags, favorites, and preferences are stored locally in your browser. No account is required.
When saving a website, WebFolder only accesses the title and URL of the pages you explicitly choose to save.
WebFolder:
- Does not track your browsing.
- Does not collect your browsing history.
- Does not send your data to external servers.
- Does not sell your personal information.
*Important:* Exported collections are not encrypted. If you share an exported file, make sure it does not contain URLs or information you prefer to keep private.
