The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.

About Waypoint

Waypoint is a lightweight, local-first browser extension that helps you remember exactly where you left off while reading or watching. Track progress across anime, manga, novels, and webcomics, update your place with one click, and resume later, even if the website hosting the content changes or disappears. Waypoint works across multiple sites, supports chapters, episodes, pages, timestamps, and notes, and stays out of your way. There are no accounts, no ads, and no background tracking. Your data lives on your device. Key features: - One-click add and update from the current tab - Resume reading or watching instantly - Popup view for quick actions + optional side panel for browsing your library - Keyboard shortcuts for fast navigation - Import/export support (JSON, CSV, AniList, MyAnimeList) - Light, dark, and system themes Privacy first: Waypoint only accesses page data when you explicitly add or update a work. It does not track your browsing history or collect analytics. Open source & free option Waypoint is fully open source and free to install from GitHub for users who prefer manual installation: 👉 https://github.com/AmusedPolecat89/waypoint.git The Chrome Web Store version offers the same features with the convenience of one-click install and automatic updates.
