WA Export — Contacts / Groups / Chat to CSV·vCard·JSON·HTML

WA Export lets you back up and export your WhatsApp Web data in seconds - your contacts, your groups, the members of any group, and the messages in any open chat - as CSV, vCard, JSON, or HTML files. Everything runs locally in your browser. There is no account, no login, no licensing server, and no telemetry. Your data is read on the page and the file is downloaded straight to your computer - nothing is ever uploaded to remote servers. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ WHAT YOU CAN EXPORT ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ • All contacts - every contact in your WhatsApp → CSV, vCard, JSON, HTML • Group list - all the groups you're in → CSV, JSON, HTML • Members of the open group - the participant list of any group you open → CSV, vCard, JSON, HTML • Open chat (messages) - the conversation currently open → HTML chat view, CSV, JSON ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ CHOOSE YOUR FORMAT ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ • CSV - open directly in Excel, Google Sheets, or Numbers • vCard (.vcf) - import contacts into your phone, Google Contacts, or Outlook • JSON - clean, structured data for developers and automation • HTML - a readable, shareable view (great for archiving a chat) ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ PRIVATE BY DESIGN ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ • 100% local - all processing happens in your browser; no servers involved • No account, no sign-up, no subscription - completely free • No tracking, no analytics, no phone-home • Works only on web.whatsapp.com - no access to any other website • No <all_urls>, no cookie access ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ HOW TO USE ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ 1. Open https://web.whatsapp.com and log in; wait for your chats to load. 2. Click the WA Export icon in your toolbar. 3. Pick a format (CSV, vCard, JSON, or HTML). 4. Click Export next to what you want: • All contacts • Group list • Members of open group (open that group first) • Open chat (messages) (open that chat first) 5. The file downloads instantly. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ COMMON USES ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ • Back up your WhatsApp contacts before switching phones • Export a group's member list to a spreadsheet • Save an important conversation as a readable HTML or CSV file • Migrate contacts to Google Contacts / Outlook via vCard • Pull structured JSON for your own scripts and workflows ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ PERMISSIONS (AND WHY) ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ • Access to web.whatsapp.com - to read the data you ask it to export. This is the only site it touches. • tabs - to find your active WhatsApp tab from the popup. • storage - reserved for settings (nothing is collected today). ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ GOOD TO KNOW ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ • "Open chat" exports the messages currently loaded by WhatsApp — scroll up to load older history first for a fuller export. • Media files (images, videos, voice notes) are recorded as metadata (type, filename, caption); the media bytes themselves are not downloaded. • WA Export reads WhatsApp Web's data through the open-source WPPConnect wa-js library. A major WhatsApp Web update can occasionally break extraction until the library is updated. ━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━ A free plugin provided by Extension.software.
