Volume Leveler — Even Out Video Sound

Volume Leveler evens out the volume of video and audio on any website — in real time, right in your browser. The problem it solves: dialogue in movies and clips is often quiet, while music and sound effects blast through, forcing you to ride the volume knob constantly. The extension smooths that gap out: quiet parts (dialogue) become easier to hear, and loud peaks (effects, music) get gentler — without distortion or clicks. How it works: for every video or audio element on the page, sound is routed through a dynamic compressor, makeup gain, and a limiter — all three steps run through the browser's standard Web Audio API, with no transcoding and no added delay. Settings (via the toolbar icon): — one toggle to turn it on or off; — leveling strength — how aggressively to compress the volume gap; — quiet-part boost — extra gain applied after compression; — overload limiter — guards against clicks.
