Voicecut is an audio editor that works right in your browser and never uploads your files. Open a recording, cut out the mistakes, clean up the background noise and save it again. Everything happens on your computer. WHAT YOU CAN DO • Cut, copy, paste, delete and trim: select with the mouse, undo anything with Ctrl+Z. • Fade in and out, change the volume, or normalize a quiet recording. • Reduce steady background noise such as hiss, hum or a fan. • Make a voice fuller or clearer with the equalizer. • Speed a recording up or slow it down while voices keep their natural pitch. • Preview every effect before you apply it. • Record your microphone, or the sound of a browser tab while you keep browsing. • Export the whole file or just the selection as MP3, WAV or M4A. LONG RECORDINGS Voicecut keeps audio on your disk instead of in memory, so a lecture or a meeting several hours long opens in seconds and edits as smoothly as a short clip. RECORDINGS THAT DON'T GET LOST Recordings are saved to disk while they happen. If the browser closes in the middle, the recording is still there the next time you open Voicecut. PRIVATE BY DESIGN Your audio is processed on your computer and is never sent anywhere. There is no account, no ads and no analytics. The microphone and tab audio are used only after you press Record. HOW TO START 1. Click the Voicecut icon and choose Open editor, or one of the recording options. 2. Drop an audio file into the editor. 3. Select a part with the mouse, edit it, then press Export. Voicecut Pro adds three tools, and they run on your computer too: • Isolate voice splits a recording into two tracks: the voice, and everything else (music, noise, the room). Listen to either one alone, turn the background down or off, or save each track as its own file. • Transcribe turns speech into text with the time of every word. Click a word to jump to it; select a phrase in the text and press Delete to cut it from the audio. Save the text or subtitles. Works in 25 European languages. • Remove pauses shortens long silences in speech in one click. Isolate voice and Transcribe need a graphics chip that Chrome can use, and download their models once (the speech model is about 1.3 GB).
