The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About VisaScope: Visa Sponsorship & H-1B Job Checker
You find a job that fits. You spend an hour on the application. Then, buried in the last paragraph, you find it: "must be authorized to work in the US without sponsorship."
VisaScope reads that paragraph before you do.
Open any job posting and VisaScope tells you, in one line, whether you can actually take the job:
✅ SPONSORS — they say they sponsor work visas
✅ WORK FROM ANYWHERE — genuinely global, possibly takeable from outside the US
❌ NO SPONSORSHIP — requires authorization that needs no sponsorship
❌ CITIZENSHIP OR CLEARANCE — US citizens, green card, ITAR or security clearance only
⚠️ REMOTE, BUT US ONLY — the trap: "remote" that still requires you to live in the US
⚠️ LOOKS LIKE A BENCH-SALES CONSULTANCY — advertises sponsorship loudly, treats people badly
❓ NOTHING STATED — the posting is silent, which is not the same as a no
WHY IT IS NOT JUST A KEYWORD SEARCH
Searching a page for "sponsorship" is wrong more often than it is right, because job postings are written to be ambiguous.
• "We do not provide visa sponsorship" contains the word sponsorship. So does "we sponsor H-1B." A keyword search cannot tell them apart. VisaScope reads the negation.
• Every US posting says it does not discriminate on citizenship status. That is a legal notice protecting you, not a restriction. VisaScope ignores it.
• The most common refusal in the wild never uses the word sponsor at all: "must be authorized to work for ANY employer in the US."
• "We support H-1B transfers" reads like an offer, but if it also refuses initial sponsorship, it is a refusal for anyone on F-1 OPT.
• "Remote" and "remote from anywhere you like" are different jobs. Most boards label them identically.
WHERE IT WORKS
VisaScope works on the applicant tracking systems most companies hire through, and on company career pages it has never seen before. When it does not recognise a site, it falls back to a general reader that locates the job description on its own, so it keeps working on boards it was never specifically built for.
IT SHOWS ITS WORK
Every verdict quotes the exact sentence it came from. Click the toolbar icon to see which reader handled the page and why. A tool that tells you about your visa options has no business being a black box, and you should never act on one that will not show you the sentence.
PRIVACY
VisaScope makes no network requests. No account, no API key, no analytics, no tracking, no servers. Everything runs inside your browser. Your job search is nobody else's business.
FREE, AND FREE OF THE USUAL THINGS
No signup. No paywall. No upsell. No ads.
NOT LEGAL ADVICE
VisaScope reads what the posting says. Employers are vague, out of date, and recruiters override postings all the time. Use it to decide where to spend your time, not as an answer about your eligibility. Always confirm with the recruiter.
