The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Vinlid — VIN Check & Vehicle History
Vinlid checks any VIN without interrupting your car search.
As you browse listings on any website, Vinlid automatically finds 17-character
VIN codes on the page and marks each one with a small badge. Click a badge and a
panel slides in with the full vehicle history report from vinlid.com — mileage,
accident records, technical condition, recalls, inspection photos and more —
right next to the listing you're reading. No copying, no new tabs, no losing
your place.
FEATURES
• Automatic VIN detection — every 17-character VIN on a page gets a badge you
can click to check it instantly.
• Side-panel reports — the vehicle history opens in a panel over the current
page, so you never leave the listing.
• Toolbar counter — the toolbar icon shows how many VINs were found on the page.
• Right-click lookup — select any VIN text, right-click, and choose
"Check VIN with Vinlid".
• Toolbar button — click the Vinlid icon any time to open the search panel and
check a VIN by hand.
HOW IT WORKS
Vinlid recognises VINs using the ISO 3779 format (17 characters, letters and
digits, excluding I/O/Q). When you open a report, the VIN is sent to vinlid.com
to retrieve that vehicle's history, which is displayed inside the panel.
Vinlid does not collect your browsing history, does not track the pages you
visit, and shows no ads.
