The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Vidfora: Outlier Badges for YouTube
Vidfora puts one number on every YouTube thumbnail: how that video performed against its own channel's typical views.
A video with 400,000 views tells you nothing on its own. On a channel that averages 40,000 it is a 10x outlier worth studying. On a channel that averages 2,000,000 it is a miss. Vidfora does that division for you and shows the result as a small badge in the corner of the thumbnail, so you can read a channel's real hits at a glance instead of opening a spreadsheet.
WHAT YOU SEE
- Channel pages: every upload and Short gets a badge, so the outliers stand out from the routine uploads immediately.
- Watch pages: the video you are watching gets an inline badge next to its view count, and a line saying where it ranks among that channel's videos, such as "#3 of 48 videos on this channel".
- Home feed, search, subscriptions and up next: videos Vidfora already knows are badged as you scroll.
WHAT YOU CAN DO
- Hover any badged thumbnail and click the bookmark button to save that video to a board in your Vidfora account, or create a new board right there.
- Click Track channel on a channel or watch page to add that creator to your tracked list.
- Open More in Vidfora on a watch page to open that channel in Vidfora, or hand the video to the Vidfora Coach with the question already written (paid plans).
- Switch workspace, turn badges off per surface, and check your plan and AI credit balance from the toolbar popup.
HOW IT CONNECTS
The extension is the companion to the Vidfora web app at https://vidfora.com, which is where the scores, the boards and the tracked channels live, and every link in the extension opens that site.
The extension works with a Vidfora account. Click Connect in the popup, confirm in the tab that opens, and this browser gets its own pairing token. You can disconnect from the popup or revoke the token from your Vidfora account at any time.
Badges on the feed, search and up next come from scores Vidfora already holds and work on every plan, including Free. Live analysis of a channel Vidfora has never seen is a Plus feature; Free accounts get a metered preview each day.
WHAT IT DOES NOT DO
Vidfora reads the video IDs and channel handles on the YouTube page you are viewing, and sends them to Vidfora to look up scores. It does not read your watch history, your Google account, your search terms, or any other site. It does not inject ads, change YouTube's own layout, or run code downloaded after install. Everything the extension runs ships inside the package.
