The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.

About Username Password Generator

**All you need is ONE rule for every password** Passwords should be complex hard and different for each website. But remember them all is insane. Password generation tools even want to remember random letters. That is not cool, man. All you only need is a single rule that generates passwords — for example `google_my_password_123` for Google, `facebook_my_password_123` for Facebook. This extension helps you remember that rule and auto generates unique, complex password for every website. It also remembers your email as the username. ## How the rule works Take the domain `www.example.com` (domain name: `example`): - `{{ }}` to insert parts of the domain name - Numbers to select letters by position - `U` = uppercase, `L` = lowercase | Rule | Result | Meaning | | --- | --- | --- | | `{{1_3U}}` | `EXA` | Letters 1–3, uppercase | | `{{-2_-1L}}` | `le` | Letters −2 to −1, lowercase | | `PASSWORD_{{2_4U}}` | `PASSWORD_XAM` | `PASSWORD_` + letters 2–4, uppercase | | `{{1_2U}}_PASSWORD_{{2_4U}}_%@!123` | `EX_PASSWORD_XAM_%@!123` | Letters 1–2, uppercase, + `_PASSWORD_` + letters 2–4, uppercase, + `_%@!123` | That's it. The same syntax also works for usernames, so you can use a different username on every site. BTW, this rule is my favorite: {{1_5U}}_leaks_my_password -> EXAMP_leaks_my_password ## Privacy & storage Your rule is saved to your browser's Google storage, synced with your Google account, and kept locally on your device. Even so, we strongly recommend memorizing it — or writing it down in a paper notebook. We never see your rule and keep NO copy of it on our servers. ## What's new 1. More robust URL parsing. 2. Simplified rule syntax — the old syntax is no longer supported.
