❓ QUESTIONS
How do I type emoji on a PC or a Chromebook?
Press Alt+Shift+E in Chrome to open the picker, search, and click an emoji to copy it. Or turn on :emoji: typing for a site and type  right in the text box.
How is it different from the emoji panel in Windows or macOS?
The built-in panels are good: Windows + . (period) on Windows, Control + Command + Space on a Mac. Use Emoji adds what they do not have: codes that turn into emoji as you type, 2,300+ kaomoji and symbols, shortcuts of your own, and the same picker on every computer you use Chrome on.
What are kaomoji?
Japanese emoticons drawn with text characters, like ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ or (。◕‿◕。). They work anywhere text does, even where emoji do not.
Which browsers does it work in?
Chrome and other browsers built on Chromium, on Windows, macOS, Linux and ChromeOS.
