Upload the File: turn a file into a link

Upload the File puts a drop box in Chrome's side panel: drop, paste or choose a file and you get a shareable link, already copied to your clipboard. FEATURES • Drag a file in from your desktop or downloads, paste a screenshot, or pick a file. • The link is copied the moment the upload finishes, ready to paste into chat or email. • Works without an account. Sign in on uploadthefile.com for bigger files and links that last longer; the panel uses that sign-in automatically. • PDFs, images, video, audio, web pages, documents and more open in the browser for the people you share with. • Your recent links stay in the panel, one click to copy again. • The panel stays open while you browse, so an upload keeps going when you switch tabs. HOW TO USE 1. Click the Upload the File icon in the toolbar. The side panel opens. 2. Drop, paste or choose a file. 3. Paste the link anywhere. PRIVACY The extension only sends the file you give it to uploadthefile.com, the same way the upload box on the website does. It does not read the pages you visit, does not collect your browsing history, and contains no analytics or ads. Your recent links are kept on your device. PERMISSIONS • "Read and change your data on uploadthefile.com": needed to upload your file to uploadthefile.com and to use your existing sign-in there. The extension has no access to any other site.
