Unread Checker for Zoho Mail

Unread Checker for Zoho Mail keeps a combined unread Inbox count visible on your Chrome toolbar. HOW IT WORKS • Connect one or more Zoho sign-in accounts through Zoho’s official OAuth authorization page. • A single authorization can include multiple Zoho Mail mailboxes. • Scan automatically every 30 minutes by default, or choose any interval from 1 to 1,440 minutes. • Run a manual scan at any time from the popup or Settings page. WHAT YOU CAN SEE • The combined unread count across connected Inbox folders • The next scheduled scan time • Individual mailbox names, unread counts, and scan status • Previous results when a mailbox temporarily fails to scan • A direct button for opening each mailbox’s Inbox The toolbar badge is blank when the total is zero, shows the exact count from 1 to 999, and shows 999+ for larger totals. Each mailbox is counted up to 10,000 unread messages and is shown as 10,000+ if that limit is exceeded. PRIVACY AND AUTHORIZATION The extension never asks for or stores your Zoho Mail password. Authorization takes place on Zoho’s official website using three read-only OAuth permissions: • ZohoMail.accounts.READ • ZohoMail.folders.READ • ZohoMail.messages.READ Requests are sent directly from the extension to Zoho’s accounts and mail services. The extension has no advertising, analytics, tracking, or developer-operated data server. OAuth configuration, refresh tokens, connected mailbox details, scan settings, unread totals, and scan status are stored in extension-local browser storage and are not synchronized through Chrome. Access tokens are kept in browser session storage. Message bodies are not stored. SETUP REQUIREMENT This version requires you to create a Server-based Application in the Zoho API Console and enter its Client ID and Client Secret in the extension’s Settings page. The Settings page provides the exact callback URL and step-by-step setup instructions. REGION LIMITATION Version 1.0.0 supports only Zoho accounts using accounts.zoho.com and mail.zoho.com. Zoho regional data centers such as .eu, .in, .com.au, .jp, .ca, and .cn are not currently supported. Zoho and Zoho Mail are trademarks of Zoho Corporation.
