The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Universal Video & Subtitle Downloader
Universal Video Downloader finds the videos and images on the page you are viewing and saves them to your computer.
How it works
1. Open a page with a video.
2. Click the extension icon. The video is already listed, with its title, length and size.
3. Choose a quality or "Audio only", add subtitles if you want them, and press Download.
4. Images on the page are listed too, always in their largest size. Download one, or all of them at once.
Features
- Finds videos on the page automatically, including streaming videos
- Saves the images on the page in full size, not the small preview
- Choose the quality, or save the audio only (MP3 or M4A)
- Subtitles saved as a file or added to the video
- Paste several links at once to download them together
- Download manager: progress, speed, time left, pause, resume and cancel
- Your own file names
- Light and dark mode
- Free, no account needed, no ads, no tracking
Good to know
- Protected (DRM) videos, like those on paid streaming services, cannot be downloaded.
- YouTube is not supported, because of Chrome Web Store policy.
- Some websites do not allow downloads. When that happens the extension tells you why.
Please only download videos and images you have the right to save, such as your own videos, free and open content, or videos the owner allows you to download.
