TubeLiberty

Take control of your YouTube habits with TubeLiberty. TubeLiberty helps you set healthy boundaries for YouTube consumption by limiting daily watch time and shorts scrolling. It's not about quitting YouTube — it's about using it intentionally. FEATURES • Set daily watch time limits • Limit shorts consumption per time period • Track your self-control streaks — see how many consecutive days you stay within your limits • Whitelist important videos (tutorials, educational content) to finish watching without breaking your streak • View your 7-day usage history in a visual bar chart • Dashboard side panel with real-time progress tracking • Quick stats popup from the toolbar HOW IT WORKS TubeLiberty runs quietly in the background while you browse YouTube. When you reach your daily limit, you're redirected to the YouTube homepage with options to whitelist the current video, request more time, or accept and leave. Requesting more time requires typing a commitment phrase — creating psychological friction that makes you think twice before extending your limits. Your streak only breaks when you choose to extend, not when you hit your limit. PRIVACY All data is stored locally on your device. TubeLiberty does not collect, transmit, or share any user data.
