Tripdify Saver

Tripdify Saver is a companion to tripdify.com. It has one job: to read the prices a booking site shows for the same stay through each of its channels, inside your own browser, and report them to the Tripdify tab you opened, so you can compare them and book the same room for the lowest total. The same hotel, the same dates and the same room can cost different amounts depending on which link you arrive through. A booking site serves a different price per channel: card issuers, wallets, maps and search. Checking them by hand means opening dozens of tabs. The extension does that for you. ■ What the extension does · Reads the per-channel prices Paste a hotel link on tripdify.com and the extension opens that hotel's page in an inactive background tab, reads the room prices and conditions it shows, and closes the tab. It works through card, wallet, map and search channels and reports each one as a tax-inclusive total. · Checks a second booking site too For the same hotel and dates it also reads the price another booking site lists, so a comparison is never limited to a single source. · Compares flight fares Choose a route and dates and the extension reads the lowest fare a travel site lists for those days, so a flight is compared the same way a room is. · Reads the room conditions too Free-cancellation deadline, breakfast, pay-later and maximum guests are read along with the price, so you can see when a cheap rate is non-refundable. · Compares in another currency Some card discounts require paying in a particular currency. If you choose one, the extension switches the site's display currency for the length of the search and restores it when the search ends. · Runs in the background, tells you when it is done Searches keep running if you switch tabs or close the page, and a notification tells you when one finishes. You can cancel at any time. · Price watch Save a search and it is re-checked once a day; a notification tells you when the price drops. You can turn the alerts off whenever you like, and each one is shown in the language you saved the search in. ■ What the website does tripdify.com ranks the prices the extension reported by final total. The published terms of each card promotion, your search history and how a price moved since your last check are shown there too. Without the extension the site still gives you the link list, and on a phone that is the only mode, since extensions cannot be installed there. ■ Where it runs The extension runs only on the booking sites it reads and on tripdify.com. On a booking site it reads prices and conditions from a tab it opened itself; it never reads a tab you opened. On tripdify.com a content script only relays messages between the page and the extension. No other site is accessed, and no browsing history or personal data is collected or sent anywhere.
