Tobar an Dualchais Companion

This unofficial extension supports research with Tobar an Dualchais by allowing you to create private collections of archive recordings locally in your browser. It is not affiliated with or endorsed by the archive. Open a recording or submit a search on Tobar an Dualchais, click the extension, review the captured information, and choose what to save. Save recordings with available archive metadata, preserve named searches with their exact URLs and filters, or select results from one loaded page as a dated snapshot. Organise discoveries in collections, add personal notes and manual listening positions, mark favourites and listening status, and search your saved recordings. Your collection stays in this Chrome profile. There is no account, analytics, advertising or sync. Export complete JSON backups and restore them after reviewing the contents, or download a readable Markdown ZIP for Obsidian. Audio plays on the archive website. Saved search links may not reproduce every filter; check the archive controls when reopening a search. Snapshot titles and order remain fixed even when the archive changes. Removing an item from a collection keeps it in your library; separate delete controls remove saved items with confirmation. Copyright © 2026 Ioannis Valasakis.
