The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About The NEST
The NEST — Extension by Meta Edge lets you explicitly run a browser node for public web data tasks. After you sign in through the external identity provider using OAuth Authorization Code with PKCE and start the node, the Extension performs bounded short HTTPS requests to public websites assigned by the Meta Edge router, then reports task status, response size, online time, network quality, and Earning Tokens to your dashboard.
To provide this feature, the Extension handles your external account subject, authentication and node security material, install/node identifiers, current public IP and derived region/ASN, network-quality observations, router-assigned public URLs and response content, and task/traffic/online-time metrics. Destination public websites receive the node public IP and standard request metadata.
Meta Edge does not read browsing history, cookies, current tabs, passwords, private pages, or your normal browsing traffic, and it does not expose your device as a public proxy endpoint.
You control the daily traffic cap, start, pause, stop, sign-out, and local deletion. After Start, contribution remains active while Chrome is running; keyboard or mouse activity does not pause contribution. The Extension does not observe keyboard or mouse activity or Chrome's idle or locked state.
Meta Edge does not sell this data or use it for personalized advertising. The service is not available to ordinary users in the United States, Malaysia, China, or Singapore.
