The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Tenlo
Tenlo finds the videos that the page you are watching is playing, lists them, and saves the one you choose to your computer — as an MP4 file, or just the audio (M4A).
• It works with plain video files, HLS and DASH, and lets you pick the quality.
• Each video in the list has an × to remove it, and “Clear all” empties the list, so you can clean it up right before opening the page whose video you want.
• When Tenlo can identify a format that major players do not handle and the browser can convert it safely, it converts it while downloading. It tells you before it does, and you can choose to keep the original instead. Formats that depend on the system, or cannot be converted safely, are kept as original with a warning. Ordinary videos are never touched and take exactly as long as before.
• Everything happens in your browser: nothing to install, no servers, no accounts, no analytics. Tenlo sends the author no data.
• A “Support Tenlo” link opens the author's Ko-fi page in another tab. It is voluntary and unlocks nothing.
• While it is on, Tenlo listens to network requests on every website you visit. It keeps only possible video addresses and the page address, in browser session memory, to build the list and download what you choose. Closing the browser or turning Tenlo off deletes that session data.
• It stops at DRM-protected content and tells you so. It does not work on YouTube.
• It stays off until you turn it on, after a page that explains exactly what it listens to and what it keeps.
Download only what you have the right to keep.
