Video playback enhancements for Telegram Web. Telegram Augmenter is a browser extension that improves the video player on web.telegram.org. Resume long videos where you left off, keep your preferred volume across sessions, skim with skip buttons and keyboard shortcuts, and see clear visual feedback for every action. It focuses on video playback in the browser - it doesn't add messaging or channel features, and it doesn't change the native Telegram apps. Telegram Web Compatibility Telegram Augmenter runs on Telegram Web A (web.telegram.org/a). If a link opens you in the newer Web K client instead, an occasional notice points you to Web A so every feature below works as expected - at most once a day, and it stops after a few showings. Resume Where You Left Off Never lose your place in a video again: • Automatic Position Saving - Your playback position is saved automatically as you watch • Instant Resume - Reopen any video and it picks up exactly where you stopped • Works Across Sessions - Close your browser, come back later, and your progress is still there • Per-Video Tracking - Each video's position is saved independently Saved Videos Library Your personal video history, always accessible from the extension popup: • Visual Progress Bars - See at a glance how much of each video you've watched • Quick Navigation - Click any saved video to jump directly to it in Telegram • Reopen Feedback - A loading indicator appears while a saved video is located, with a clear retry and error notice if it can't be reopened • Some Videos Aren't Clickable - Videos captured as temporary blob files can't be reopened outside their original session; those are clearly marked so you know which entries are safe to click • Smart Metadata - View title, duration, current position, and when you last watched • Custom Names - Rename any saved video with a custom title for easy identification • Search - Instantly find videos by title with the built-in search bar • Sort Options - Sort by newest, oldest, most progress, least progress, or last updated • Filter Pills - Filter your library by All, In Progress, or Completed • Copy Titles - Easily copy video titles for sharing or notes • Message Links - Each video is linked to its original Telegram message • Easy Management - Delete individual videos or clear your entire history • Auto-Open Option - Configure whether clicking a saved video automatically navigates to it Volume Memory Set your volume once and forget about it: • Persistent Volume - Your preferred volume level is remembered across all videos and sessions • Default Volume - Choose the level a video opens at before you have set one for it (10% out of the box) • Fine Control - Precise slider from 0–100% • Click-to-Edit - Click the percentage to type an exact value • Visual Feedback - Real-time percentage display shows current level • Polished Layout - Slider and icon properly aligned in the new control bar Skip Buttons Jump around long videos without dragging the scrubber: • −10s / −5s / +5s / +10s - Dedicated buttons added to the player controls • Action Overlay - Each press flashes a brief on-screen indicator so you always see the jump applied • One-Handed Use - Skim podcasts, lectures, and long clips without leaving the player Keyboard Shortcuts Efficient video control without touching your mouse: Playback: • Space - Play/Pause • ← Arrow - Seek back 5 seconds • → Arrow - Seek forward 5 seconds Audio: • ↑ Arrow - Volume up 5% • ↓ Arrow - Volume down 5% Display: • F - Toggle fullscreen Smart Activation: Shortcuts only work when the video player is open and won't interfere when you're typing messages or in text fields. Visual Feedback: Every shortcut triggers a brief action overlay so you can see at a glance which command was applied.
