About TechDraw AI: Photo to CAD & Technical Drawing, AI Blueprint Maker
Turn a photo into a dimensioned technical drawing, right in Chrome's side panel. TechDraw AI takes a product photo, a picture from any website or an image from your computer and draws it as a CAD-style blueprint: orthographic views, dimension lines and a title block, in ISO or ANSI. No downloading photos, no re-uploading, no CAD skills needed.
HOW IT WORKS
1. Open a product page on any store. TechDraw AI finds the product by itself and, when the page lists a size, shows a "Technical drawing" card with the width, depth and height.
2. Mark real lengths on the photo: click the two ends of an edge and type its length. Every measurement gets its own colour. The listed width, depth and height are one click away.
3. Set up the drawing: ISO or ANSI standard, sheet size (A4 to A0, ANSI A to E), working, assembly, as-fitted or patent drawing, mm, cm, m or inches, first or third angle projection, and which views (front, top, side, isometric).
4. Get the drawing in under a minute: orthographic views with dimension lines, drawn to your measurements and the product's real overall size.
Not on a product page? Hover any photo and click "Drawing", right-click it and choose "Make a technical drawing", or drop in a JPG or PNG from your computer.
FROM IMAGE TO CAD
Every drawing is saved to your TechDraw AI projects. "Open in editor" takes it to techdrawai.com, where you edit dimensions, text and the title block. PNG export is on every plan. DXF, DWG and PDF export for AutoCAD, Fusion, SolidWorks and other CAD software are on the Studio plan.
WHO IT IS FOR
Furniture makers and woodworkers sizing a piece they saw online, interior designers and architects drafting furniture into a plan, product designers and engineers sketching a reference part, inventors preparing a patent drawing, students learning engineering drawing, and anyone who needs a blueprint of an object with real dimensions.
CREDITS
Each drawing uses credits from your TechDraw AI account, and a drawing that fails is not charged. New accounts can try it for free.
PRIVACY
The extension reads the page you are on inside your browser. Nothing is sent until you start a drawing, and then only that photo, your measurements and settings, the page address and the product's name and size. Hide it on one site or everywhere from the panel's menu.
