Taobao Companion

Translate Taobao and Tmall into English and see prices in your own currency. Taobao Companion is a free, private shopping extension with Chinese-to-English translation and a built-in currency converter. Browse product pages, compare options and understand listings without copying text into a separate translator. PRIVATE TRANSLATION ON YOUR DEVICE Read Chinese product titles, size and colour options, specifications and shopping labels in English. Translation runs locally on your device: no page text is sent to translation servers, and the extension has no tracking or analytics. No translation account, API key or paid subscription is required. AUTOMATIC CNY / RMB CURRENCY CONVERSION See estimated prices in USD, EUR, GBP, DKK and other available currencies alongside original Chinese yuan prices. Currency conversion uses daily reference exchange rates from Frankfurter, helping you compare product costs while browsing. TRANSLATE AS YOU SCROLL Automatically translate newly loaded text on supported search results, product pages and recommendation feeds. Switch between English and original Chinese from the extension icon to check product details and original wording. Search queries and form entries stay untouched. OPTIONAL KAKOBUY SHOPPING AGENT SHORTCUT Open the current product in KakoBuy with the Buy with KakoBuy button. This optional shortcut uses our affiliate link, and qualifying purchases may earn us a commission. You can disable the button in settings. Select size and colour again on KakoBuy; those choices are not transferred. SUPPORTED PAGES AND LIMITATIONS Works on supported Taobao.com and Tmall.com shopping pages. Text inside images is not translated. Machine translations may be inaccurate, especially brand names and short product labels. The translation model is bundled with the extension, increasing download size; speed depends on your device. Converted prices are estimates and exclude shipping, taxes and agent, payment or currency-conversion fees. Sign-in pages get label translation only, and recognized account, cart and checkout pages are excluded. The extension does not fill forms or place orders. Shopping websites may require their own accounts. Currency requests contain no page text or product URLs. Frankfurter receives ordinary connection metadata; clicking the KakoBuy shortcut shares the product URL and referral code with KakoBuy. Each service applies its own policies. Welcome offers are subject to KakoBuy eligibility and terms. Independently developed by Towy. Not an official Taobao, Tmall or Alibaba product. The optional KakoBuy affiliate relationship helps support the extension.
