About Tab Timer - Countdown, Auto Close Tabs & Website Time Tracker

Put a countdown on any tab, set daily limits that stick, and see exactly where your time goes. When time's up, Tab Timer closes the tab, pauses the video, mutes it, or shows a "time's up" page. Everything stays on your computer. COUNTDOWN ON ANY TAB • Quick presets (5 / 15 / 30 / 60 min, or your own), any length, or "stop at 11:30 PM" • When it ends: close the tab, pause the video or music, mute the tab, show a "time's up" page, or just notify you • A heads-up a minute before, with "+5 min" one click away • Works on any website with no setup: from the toolbar, the right-click menu, or a keyboard shortcut (Alt+Shift+C) • Count clock time, or only the time you're actually on the tab • See the countdown on the toolbar icon and in the floating timer; pause, add 5 minutes or stop from either • Closed a tab by mistake? Reopen it from the notification or from Settings LIMITS THAT STICK • Daily limits per site: "30 minutes of Reddit a day". Counts your time there across all tabs, including sound playing in the background, and resets at midnight • Bedtimes: "YouTube pauses at 11 PM" • Per-visit limits for a whole site, or for one page or one video • Repeat any countdown: "every time I open this video" in two clicks • Strict mode: no snoozing or stopping a limit once it's running • The "time's up" page can't be skipped with the Back button SEE WHERE YOUR TIME GOES • Time per site today, over the last 7 or 30 days, this month or any range, with categories • Drill into any day or site: hour-by-hour charts, sessions, a typical day, weekday and time-of-day patterns, limit history • Focused time and listening time shown separately, so totals never add up to more than the real time • How often your countdowns and limits kicked in • An optional daily summary notification • Export to CSV or JSON YOUR TIMER, YOUR WAY • Floating timer on the page, the time in the tab title, or on the toolbar icon. Turn each on or off, and hide the floating timer on sites where you don't want it • Count only the tab in front of you, every open tab, or pause as soon as you switch to another app • Counts only what you can see: pauses when Chrome is minimized or on another desktop or workspace, keeps counting on a second monitor • Music, podcasts or a video playing in another tab can count as listening time, kept apart from focused time • Pauses automatically when you step away from the computer • Light and dark theme, or follow your system PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Your history stays on your computer. No account, no servers, no tracking • Your settings (your sites and limits) sync with your Chrome profile like any extension setting • Pages and videos are remembered only for the sites you choose, only the address without its query part, and only for 90 days. Delete them any time • Incognito tabs count toward today's limits but are never saved to your history • Countdowns don't need access to the sites you use. Time tracking asks only for the sites you choose RECENTLY ADDED (1.4) • Listening time for tabs playing in the background • Time pauses when Chrome is minimized or on another desktop or workspace, including tiling window managers (GlazeWM, AeroSpace) • Analytics drill-down: click a day or a site for hours, sessions, a typical day and weekday patterns • Optional page and video history for the sites you pick (90 days) • Popup tab filters (Listening, Countdowns, This window), search and a mute button • Redesigned Settings with search, per-site panels, and backup and restore Made for focus, study, work, kids' screen time and late-night scrolling.
