About Tab Time Tracker

Automatically track how long you spend on each website — no setup required. • **Auto-pause** when idle or the window isn’t focused • **Today** + **Last 7 days** breakdown • **Export CSV** and **Reset Today** • **Privacy-first**: your data stays on your device (no servers, no analytics) **How it works** Tab Time Tracker attributes seconds to the active tab’s domain. If you stop using your keyboard/mouse for 60 seconds or Chrome isn’t focused, it pauses. Data is saved locally in chrome.storage.local and never leaves your browser. **Permissions** - Tabs: determine the active tab’s domain - Idle: pause when you’re away - Storage: save totals locally **Notes** - This extension only tracks time in Chrome. Desktop apps (games, IDEs) are not tracked. - Open-source and lightweight. Ideal for students, focus tracking, and lightweight time budgeting.
