Lost all your tabs after a crash, an update or a "Close all" by mistake? Tab Safety Net quietly keeps snapshots of your windows, tabs and tab groups so you can get them back in one click. WHAT IT DOES • Automatic snapshots every few minutes, and a few seconds after your tabs change. Nothing is saved when nothing changed. • Keeps tab groups (name, color, collapsed state), pinned tabs and window layout. • "Previous session" button after a restart, even when the browser's own restore failed. • Restore into new windows, or add the tabs to the window you are in. • Large sessions restore instantly: background tabs load only when you click them. • Smart history: the latest 30 snapshots, one per hour for the last day and one per day for 14 days. Snapshots you save or name are never deleted automatically. • Optional tab sleeping: frees memory by putting idle tabs to sleep with the browser's own tab discarding. Tabs keep their address and back history. Pinned tabs, tabs playing sound and sites you list are never put to sleep. • Export your snapshots to a backup file and import them on another computer. PRIVATE BY DESIGN • Everything is stored on your computer only. • No access to the websites you visit, no content scripts, and network requests are blocked by the extension's security policy. • No account, no analytics, no ads. Incognito windows are never saved. Works in Chrome, Edge and Brave (version 121 or newer).
