The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Tab Memory Saver
Tab Memory Saver automatically puts your unused tabs to sleep, freeing up RAM without closing them. Click any sleeping tab to instantly restore it — your session is preserved exactly as you left it.
HOW IT WORKS
Chrome's built-in tab suspension (chrome.tabs.discard) is used to remove a tab's memory footprint while keeping it visible in the tab bar. When you click a sleeping tab, Chrome reloads it automatically.
FEATURES
- Auto-sleep: Tabs idle for a configurable time (default 10 minutes) are automatically suspended
- Sleep All: Put every inactive tab to sleep with one click
- Manual control: Sleep or wake any individual tab from the popup
- Whitelist: Add domains like youtube.com or localhost to never be suspended
- Statistics: Track how many tabs have been slept over time
- First-run welcome page with privacy information
PRIVACY
This extension collects zero data. No analytics, no telemetry, no network requests are made by the extension itself. Everything — tab titles, URLs, activity timestamps, settings — stays in your local browser storage and never leaves your device.
