The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Tab Memory Manager for Chrome
Chrome slows to a crawl with too many tabs open, and Chrome's own Memory Saver only tells you it happened after the fact — it doesn't protect the one thing that actually matters: your unfinished work. Tab Memory Manager is a tab suspender / memory saver that automatically discards tabs that have sat idle (default 15 minutes, fully configurable), freeing real RAM, with hard safety rules: it never touches your active tab, a pinned tab, a tab playing audio or video, or a tab where you've typed something into a form and haven't submitted it yet.
THE SAFETY NET NO OTHER TAB MANAGER HAS: every tab this extension — or Chrome's own native Memory Saver — discards is mirrored into a real bookmarks folder while it's discarded, not stored inside the extension itself. Bookmarks survive independently of any extension. If this extension is ever disabled, updated badly, or removed, your suspended tabs are still one click away in your bookmarks, not gone — the exact failure mode that made a very popular past tab-suspender extension infamous when it got pulled from the Chrome Web Store and users lost every suspended tab overnight.
REAL MEMORY NUMBERS, NOT GUESSES: uses Chrome's own per-tab memory API to optionally gate discarding on actual RAM usage in MB, not idle time alone — so you can set it to only discard tabs that are actually heavy.
ONE POPUP, FULL CONTROL: see every open tab with a live status badge (discarded, playing audio, unsaved changes, pinned), discard any tab manually, hit "Free memory now" for an instant on-demand sweep, or restore every suspended tab at once.
PER-SITE EXCEPTIONS: right-click any page to mark it "never auto-discard" — for tabs you always want left alone, like webmail, docs, or a dashboard you keep open all day.
Works as a lightweight RAM cleaner / tab suspender for anyone who keeps dozens of tabs open across research, shopping, work, and reference tabs at once.
