Tab Group Saver — Auto Backup & One-Click Restore

Chrome treats tab groups as disposable — one crash, one sync hiccup, one accidental window close, and hours of carefully organized groups are gone. Tab Group Saver gives you a safety net so a crash doesn't have to cost you your setup. WHAT IT DOES - Automatic backup every 5 minutes: group names, colors, collapsed state, tab URLs and their order — across all windows - One-click restore: rebuild your group structure in the current window, colors and names included - Manual "Back up now" button for the moments that matter - JSON export & import: keep an off-browser copy of your backups, move them to another machine, or keep a long-term archive - Smart history: unchanged states are skipped, manual saves are kept longest (up to 30 snapshots) PRIVATE BY DESIGN - Everything is stored locally on your computer (chrome.storage.local) - No account, no sign-up, no analytics, no tracking - No access to page contents — only tab group structure - The one and only network request this extension can make is verifying your license key with Gumroad, and only if you buy Pro SIMPLE ON PURPOSE No settings page. Install it, and your groups are already being backed up. One popup does everything: history, restore, export, import, and an on/off switch for auto backup. FREE vs PRO - Free: backups and restores of up to 5 tab groups, full JSON export/import - Pro (one-time $9.99, no subscription): unlimited groups. Buy once on Gumroad, paste your license key, done. - Pro works offline too: your license re-checks periodically and stays active through a 14-day offline grace period. LANGUAGES English and Japanese (follows your browser language). Note: session managers that predate tab groups often flatten your groups into a plain tab list. Tab Group Saver was built for tab groups first.
