Tab Blocker

Tired of websites opening annoying spam tabs and ad windows every time you click? Tab Blocker is here to restore your peace of mind and put you back in control of your browsing experience. Our extension is a lightweight but powerful tool designed to do one thing perfectly: stop websites from opening unwanted new tabs. By intelligently managing how tabs are opened, we help you get rid of distracting pop-ups and malicious spam for a cleaner, safer, and more focused web. Two Powerful Modes: Allow All (Blacklist Mode): By default, all sites can open new tabs, but you can add specific annoying sites to a blacklist to block them. Block All (Whitelist Mode): For maximum protection, block all pop-ups from every site by default, and add only the trusted sites you need to your whitelist. Smart & Flexible Rules: We know not all new tabs are bad. Our smart exceptions give you the flexibility you need: ✅ Allow Background Tabs: Don't let your workflow be interrupted. Tabs you intentionally open in the background (e.g., with a ctrl+click, right click menu, etc) are allowed. ✅ Allow Same-Site Tabs: Never miss a legitimate navigation. Tabs opening from the same domain (e.g., clicking a link on https://www.google.com/search?q=google.com that opens another https://www.google.com/search?q=google.com page) are allowed by default. Simple and Clean: No complicated settings or bloated features. Just a straightforward, effective solution to a common annoyance. All blacklist and whitelisted sites remain in storage when switching modes, no need to worry about mode switching clearing your lists. Install Tab Blocker today and enjoy a seamless, Tab spam pop-up-free web!
