Tab Automator

Tab Automator renames, regroups, pins, refreshes and tidies your tabs for you, based on simple rules you set once. Make a rule like "every tab from these sites gets this title, this icon, and goes into this group", and Tab Automator applies it to every matching tab, now and later. ⚡ Quick start - Click the Tab Automator icon on any page to make a rule for it - Or add the page to a rule you already have, in two clicks: just that site (mail.google.com), the whole domain (google.com and everything under it), or that page and the pages below it (github.com/yourname) - Long site lists look after themselves: when a rule gets very long, a new rule continues right below it with the same settings 🏷️ Titles and icons - Rename tabs with your own text, or with text taken from the page - Change a tab's icon: pick one, paste an image, or use an emoji - Titles update as the page changes 📁 Keep tabs organized - Put matching tabs into colored, labeled tab groups - Pin, mute, or protect tabs from being closed by accident - Close duplicate tabs automatically - Send every tab a rule matches into its own window 🔄 Auto-refresh - Reload tabs every 30 seconds, 1 minute, 5 minutes, 1 hour, 1 day, or any interval you like - Set it per rule, or right-click any page to auto-refresh just that tab - Never reloads the tab you're looking at (unless you want it to) - Waits while a tab is playing audio, while you're typing on the page, or while you're offline 🍯 Tab Hive: close tabs you've forgotten about - Automatically close tabs you haven't used for a while - Find and reopen them from the side panel, grouped by site 🪟 Windows and sessions - Presenting? Move a group of tabs to its own window so your audience sees only those (Alt+Shift+M) - Merge all your windows into one (Alt+Shift+W) - Save windows or groups as named sessions and restore them later, pins and groups intact 🔍 Spot Search - Search all open tabs and bookmarks with Alt+Shift+E (Cmd+Shift+E on Mac) and jump straight there 🧪 Rule tools - Test any address to see exactly which rule applies to it - Pause all rules with one switch or Alt+Shift+P - Export rules to share, and import rules other people share (you review them first) ♻️ Backup and sync - Optional automatic backup of your settings to your Downloads folder (one dated file per day, last 7 days kept) - Optional sync of your rules across your computers through your browser account 🎨 Themes - Light and dark themes, including Amethyst (soft purple and pink) 🔧 For power users - Match addresses by Contains, Starts with, Ends with, Exact, or Regex - Reuse parts of the page title (@1, @2...) or address ($1, $2...) in the new title - Lightweight mode for heavy sites - Keyboard shortcuts for common actions 🔐 Privacy - No data collection.
