StudyPony - Study Mode for YouTube

YouTube has excellent learning content, but homework time can quickly drift into Shorts, recommendations, comments, and unrelated videos. StudyPony helps parents and homeschool families turn YouTube into a focused learning space for kids. With Study Mode, distracting surfaces are hidden so the watch page stays centered on the video, title, and learning source. Parents can approve trusted educational channels and playlists so study time stays closer to the sources they selected. Free features include: ➜ Study Mode toggle ➜ Hiding Shorts, recommendations, comments, end screens, and other distractions ➜ Clean watch page ➜ Approved learning channels ➜ Approved learning playlists ➜ Local settings with no account required Early launch note: StudyPony does not require an account, payment, checkout, or license key during early access. Some controls are marked Pro because they may become paid later, but they are open to all early users while we validate what families actually use. Pro-marked controls currently open during early access: ➜ Unlimited approved channels ➜ Unlimited approved playlists ➜ Parent PIN ➜ Weekday homework schedules ➜ Import/export approved lists StudyPony is built as a lightweight learning boundary, not a surveillance tool. It helps reduce common YouTube distractions during study time, but it is not an enterprise-grade parental control system and does not make bypassing impossible for a technical user with device control. Privacy: ➜ Settings are stored locally by default ➜ No account is required during early access ➜ No payment or license key is required during early access ➜ StudyPony does not sell browsing data ➜ Permissions are limited to what the extension needs to work on YouTube Trademark: YouTube is a trademark of Google LLC.
