The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About Stop Tabs Reloading
Stop Tabs Reloading helps prevent Chrome from unloading inactive tabs and reloading them when you return.
Turn protection on once to ask Chrome to keep your current tabs and newly opened tabs loaded. The extension uses Chrome's supported auto-discardable tab setting; it does not inject scripts into websites or access page content.
FEATURES
• Helps prevent reloads caused by Chrome discarding inactive tabs
• Protects current tabs and future tabs while protection is on
• Shows how many tabs are currently protected
• Lets you switch protection on or off at any time
• Restores only the tab settings changed by the extension
• Runs locally with no account, ads, analytics, or tracking
• Uses no host permissions and does not access page content or browsing history
HOW IT WORKS
Chrome can unload background tabs to reduce memory use. When you return, those tabs reload. While protection is on, Stop Tabs Reloading marks tabs as not auto-discardable.
IMPORTANT
Keeping more tabs loaded can increase Chrome's memory use. This extension controls Chrome's automatic tab-discarding setting. It cannot stop a website from refreshing itself and cannot guarantee that a tab will never reload in every situation.
