The Chrome Web Store rounds user counts down to the leading digit, so the user line moves in steps. The ratings count is exact and is the better signal of real adoption.
About StillWatching: YouTube Resume Tool
**Never lose your place on YouTube again.**
Ever closed a YouTube video halfway through and never found it again? StillWatching quietly tracks every video you start but don't finish, so you can always pick up exactly where you left off.
**How it works**
StillWatching runs in the background while you watch YouTube. If you stop a video partway through, it's automatically saved to your dashboard — no bookmarking, no manual tracking, nothing to remember.
**What you get**
• A clean dashboard of every unfinished video, sorted by most recently watched
• Thumbnail, title, and progress bar for each video, so you know exactly how far you got
• One-click Resume — jumps straight back to your exact timestamp
• One-click Remove for videos you don't want to finish after all
• Finished a video? It automatically drops off your list — no clutter, no manual cleanup
**Who it's for**
Long tutorials, lectures, documentaries, multi-part series, coding walkthroughs — the videos most worth finishing are usually the ones we abandon mid-way. If you regularly watch YouTube in short bursts, across multiple sessions, or alongside other tabs and get pulled away before finishing, StillWatching keeps track so you don't have to.
**Frequently asked**
*Does this slow down YouTube or affect playback?*
No. StillWatching only reads your current playback position — it doesn't modify video playback in any way.
*Do I need to sign in or create an account?*
No account, no sign-in. It works immediately after install.
*What data does it collect?*
Only what's needed to resume your videos: video ID, title, thumbnail, and your last watched timestamp. Nothing is sent to a server — everything stays stored locally in your browser using Chrome's built-in storage.
*Does it track my full YouTube history?*
No. It only saves videos you've partially watched (roughly 5%–95% complete). Videos you barely start or finish watching aren't tracked at all.
*Can I remove a video manually?*
Yes — every video in your dashboard has a one-click Remove button.
**Privacy**
All your data stays on your device using Chrome's local storage. Nothing is sent to a server, nothing is tracked, no account required.
