Steam Spending Companion turns your Steam Purchase History into a clear spending dashboard, right on Steam. See your net spending, discount savings, refunds, and spending by category without copying transactions into a spreadsheet. Use the SPENDING link in Steam’s Store navigation to open your dashboard. Keyboard navigation and layouts for smaller screens are included. HOW IT WORKS Sign in to Steam and open https://store.steampowered.com/account/history/. The extension uses Steam’s Load More Transactions control to load your history, then calculates the dashboard locally. It caches history in your browser for faster return visits and checks the latest transactions when you return. Refresh from Steam rebuilds the cache. If loading is interrupted, the dashboard warns that totals may be incomplete. YOUR DATA STAYS LOCAL The extension reads purchase-history information displayed by Steam and saves a local copy, including transaction details, amounts, payment-method labels, gift recipients, and an account label used for the cache. The developer does not receive this history. There are no advertising or analytics services, no separate Companion account, and no Steam API key to enter. Steam still handles its own page requests and sign-in. GOOD TO KNOW Amounts stay in their original currencies; the extension does not convert or combine currencies. Wallet top-ups are excluded from net Steam spend so later Wallet purchases are not counted twice. Savings are based only on prices visible in your history and are adjusted for refunds. The Wallet balance is the latest balance available in that history, and Market item names are not available there.
