About SpotRecall - Auto Tab Closer with AI Recall

Too many tabs open, but afraid to close any of them? SpotRecall closes the tabs you aren't using and makes sure you can always get them back. Just describe what you remember. Right after install, SpotRecall indexes the tabs you already have open and tidies them down to 12 (you choose the number). Every closed tab shows up in the 48-hour list, where one click reopens it. Safe by design. Active, pinned, grouped, audible, and form-filled tabs are never closed, and every window keeps at least one tab. Pages are indexed before they are closed; tabs the browser has already unloaded keep their title and URL. Reopen anything closed in the last 48 hours, and turn auto-close off anytime from the toolbar popup. Recall, not just reopen. Press Cmd/Ctrl+Shift+K and search by exact keyword or by meaning. Keyword search finds error codes, URLs, and version numbers. An on-device multilingual AI model finds pages from a loose description. Where the browser provides an on-device Translation API, you can search across English, Japanese, and Chinese; otherwise it falls back to same-language search. Page text, titles, URLs, and timestamps stay in a local browser database. Your pages and queries are never uploaded. There is no account, cloud sync, analytics, or tracking. At install, SpotRecall indexes your open tabs and the titles and URLs of your bookmarks; it does not import old history. Semantic search downloads a public multilingual model of about 135 MB once and caches it locally. No browsing data is sent; after caching, it works offline. SpotRecall is open source under AGPL-3.0. Privacy policy: https://github.com/dqj1998/SpotRecall/blob/main/PRIVACY.md Also from the same developer: ContextWizard automatically saves your ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini conversations and lets you search them. Data is stored locally by default. https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/contextwizard/lmhnmmedgmnfggecdalkancllnekofnb?utm_source=spotrecall&utm_medium=cws_listing&utm_campaign=cross_promo What's new in 1.5.2: auto-close now keeps the tabs you were just using. Pages with little text, such as sign-in or confirmation steps, and pages SpotRecall cannot read, such as store pages, could be closed only minutes after you left them. They are now kept like any other recently used tab, and are tidied up first only after an hour without use.
